This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Shinko Denshi Vibra Tuning Fork Analytical Balance to a computer to send data to Excel or other spreadsheet programs. Connects the Vibra Tuning Fork Balance to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 5-pin DIN male cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable™ to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application (like Excel) or Explorer based SPC program - no messy software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the Vibra Tuning Fork Analytical Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect SPC data into a Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by the following:

Pressing the send, print or enter button on the Vibra Tuning Fork Analytical Balance

Pressing the button on the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. The communication parameters can be changed and reconfigured per requirements for both the SmartCable and the device. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Vibra Tuning Fork Analytical Balance. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Vibra Tuning Fork Analytical Balance are set to the same values. Refer to the Shinko Denshi Vibra Tuning Fork Analytical Balance user manual for more information on external communication.
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ Keyboard. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Six foot standard cable length. All of our SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interfaces are available in special lengths upon request.
