This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard, single gage interface, connects the True Soltec PT50 / PT100 Auto Pull Tester to a computer. Connects the True Soltec Pull Tester to the SmartCable™ Keyboard using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables or software required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the True Soltec Pull Tester to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the True Soltec PT50 / PT100 Auto Pull Tester digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by pressing the ENTER key on the True Soltec PT50 / PT100 Auto Pull Tester after a test.
Simple to use!
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ USB Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Six foot standard cable length---special lengths available upon request.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the True Soltec PT50 / PT100 Auto Pull Tester. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and the True Soltec Auto Pull Tester are set to the same values. Refer to the True Soltec PT50 / PT100 Auto Pull Tester product manual for more information on external communication.
