This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Lika LD140 MMP Series Digital Length Gage to a computer. Connects the Lika LD140 Display to the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
NOTE: in order for this SmartCable Keyboard to work properly, your Lika LD 140 Series requires a special firmware. Contact your Lika distributor for more information.
Connecting the Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Lika LD140 MMP Digital Length Gage to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Lika LD140 Series digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings are triggered by pressing the send button (P) on the Lika LD140 Series digital display

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Six foot standard cable length with special lengths available upon request.
A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. The communication parameters can be changed and reconfigured per requirements for both the SmartCable™ and the Lika LD140 Series Digital Display. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Lika Digital Display. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Lika 140 Series Display are set to the same values. Refer to the Lika LD140X Display user manual for more information on external RS232 communication.
