Has many options for triggering data along with multiple data output modes. This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard, single gage interface, connects a coolant proof Mitutoyo IP65 micrometer and other similar gages to a computer. This SmartCable USB gage interface connects directly to the gage, no additional cables required. The ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the Mitutoyo IP65 coolant proof digital gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or any SPC software program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and send data.

The output of the Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application or explorer based SPC software package - no complicated software wedge required.

Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

• Pressing the push button on the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard

• Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

• Pressing the data out button on the gage connection

This ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as TAB, CR, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. A detailed operation manual is included with each SmartCable Keyboard.
