Simplify your SPC data acquisition system with this full-featured SPC data cable. Has many options for triggering data along with multiple data output modes. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects coolant proof IP-66 or IP-67 Mitutoyo digital gages (same gage connection as SPC Gage Cable 05CZA625 with data switch) to a computer. This SmartCable™ USB gage interface connects directly to the gage - no additional cables required.
The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable™ gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application or Explorer based SPC program - no messy software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will make the Mitutoyo digital gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates SPC data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing the data switch on the gage connection
This SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as TAB, CR, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with each SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Six foot overall cable length with special lengths readily available upon request.
