Simplify your SPC data acquisition system. This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard, single gage interface, connects the Mahr Federal MarCal / Digimar 16ESv, Fowler Sylvac Ultra-Cal, Euro-Cal (such as Mark II, Mark III, Mark IV, Mark V) or Starrett 797 and others to Excel or Explorer based SPC programs.

Connects to the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using an optic RS232C Simplex coupling signal cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow your gage to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application or other spreadsheet programs - no software wedge required.
Never again struggle when your software application changes. Our Keyboard interface always works when your operating or SPC software is updated.
The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear. No configuration or set-up required!

Pressing the button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ USB single input gage interface. This Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Six foot overall cable length with special lengths available on request.
