The Advanced Systems and Designs (ASDQMS) gage interface with keyboard output sends data directly to Microsoft Excel, Explorer-based SPC programs, or other spreadsheet programs without using complicated software wedges. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Mitutoyo LSM-6200 Laser Scan Micrometer Display Unit to a computer. Connects the Mitutoyo LSM-6200 Display Unit to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Mitutoyo LSM-6200 Laser Scan Micrometer to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Mitutoyo LSM-6200 Display Unit digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by pressing the data send button on the Mitutoyo LSM-6200 Laser Scan Micrometer Display Unit

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ gage interface. This ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.

Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Mitutoyo LSM-6200 Display Unit.
