Simplify your SPC data acquisition system with this full featured SPC data cable. Has many options for triggering data along with multiple data output modes. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects a standard Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE caliper or gage (Series 570/543/575/572) to a computer. Connects directly to the gage with a straight type connector, no additional cables required. Includes the standard data switch at the gage connection. Simple to install and use.
The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable™ to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer base SPC programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing the standard data out button on the Mitutoyo gage connection
This SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, right continuous reading, continuous reading with automatic 10, 15, or 30 second delay between readings, and others. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. A detailed operation manual is included with each SmartCable™ Keyboard. Six foot standard cable length - special lengths available.
