Product Description
Ono Sokki EG225 Digital Indicator SmartCable™ RS232
Sends data to SPC data collection programs
The Ono-Sokki EG-225 digital indicator connects to the ASDQMS SmartCable™ RS232 gage interface using a BCD output signal cable. This ASDQMS SmartCable™ directly interfaces with the gage, eliminating the need for additional cables. By connecting the EG225 to a computer, the RS232 SmartCable™ enables data transmission to communicate with terminal emulation programs (such as HyperTerminal) or any SPC data collection software.
The SmartCable™ RS232 gage interface produces a standard RS232 serial signal, and the 9F connection supplies power to the cable. It’s important to note that the gage itself requires a separate power supply (e.g., batteries) since it cannot draw power from the SmartCable™.
Readings can be triggered in three ways:
Depressing a connected footswitch (not included).
Pressing the send button on the gage (if available).
Sending a gage read command from the computer to the ASDQMS SmartCable RS232 gage interface.
This SmartCable™ gage interface supports standard “read gage” (R01) commands from a host computer. Additionally, it comes with a detailed operation manual, a six-foot cable length, and the option for special cable lengths. Plus, it’s backed by a warranty against manufacturing defects.
