This ASDQMS - Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single-gage interface connects the Shimadzu MOC63u | MOC120H Moisture Analyzer to a computer. Connects the Shimadzu Moisture Analyzer to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable® gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Shimadzu MOC63u | MOC120H Moisture Analyzer digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing the print button on the Shimadzu Moisture Analyzer, if it has one
Simple to set-up, simple to use!
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. The communication parameters can be changed and reconfigured per requirements for both the SmartCable™ and the Shimadzu MOC63u Moisture Analyzer. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Shimadzu Moisture Analyzer. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Shimadzu Moisture Analyzer are set to the same values. Refer to the Shimadzu MOC63u Moisture Analyzer user manual for more information on external communication.
Six foot standard cable length. Special lengths are readily available upon request.
