SmartCable™ Keyboard Interface Cable for RSF Electronik Z500 Series Display

This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single-gage interface connects the RSF Electronik Z500 Series (Z511, Z521, Z531) Digital Displayto a computer. Connects the RSF Electronik Digital Display to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the RSF Electronik Z500 Series Digital Display to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard will make the RSF Electronik Digital Display readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or explorer based SPC software, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
NOTE: Pushbutton and footswitch port on SmartCable™ USB Keyboard will send X axis reading only. Will not send multi-field data. Contact us for multi-field cable requirements.
Readings can be triggered by the following:

Pressing the button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
- Pressing the axis key on the RSF Electronik Digital Display. Sends data from any axis that is pressed
A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface to the default settings on the RSF Electronik Z500 Series Digital Display. Make sure both the SmartCable gage interface and RSF Electronik Z500 Series Digital Display are set to the same values. Refer to the RSF Electronik Z500 Series Digital Display user manual for more information on external communication.

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the ASDQMS SmartCable™ gage interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. A detailed operation manual is included with each SmartCable Keyboard. Six foot standard cable length.
