The Mettler Toledo Seven Compact Duo pH Meter is connected to the ASDQMS Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ Keyboard single gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer allows the Mettler Toledo pH / Ion Meter to be identified as a keyboard device.
This ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the Mettler Toledo Seven Compact Duo readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard to eliminate data collection errors. To collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC program, just select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger the reading. It is truly plug and play!

A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet such as, CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. The LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ gage interface.

Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard at the factory to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo Seven Compact Duo Meter. The SmartCable™ Keyboard and Mettler Toledo pH / Ion Meter must be set to the same values for communication to occur. Refer to the Mettler Toledo Seven Compact pH/Ion S220 operating instructions for additional information on external communication.
