SmartCable™ USB Keyboard Gage Interface for Mettler Toledo AM / PM / SM Series Balance with Data Interface

The Mettler Toledo AM/PM/SM balances are fitted with a bidirectional data interface for use with peripherals. The balance can transmit weighing results to a peripheral device using serial RS232 communication. This Mettler Toledo balance works well with our SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface allowing us to send a data request to the balance to receive data.
This SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is engineered to change the output on the Mettler AM/PM/SM Balance and send data directly to Excel without adding a software wedge. The special 15-Pin male connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ connects directly to the female connector on the Mettler Toledo bi-directional data interface---no additional cables required.
The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable™ USB Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable™ interface cable to be identified as a keyboard device that allows the Mettler AM/PM Series balance send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the Mettler Toledo AM/PM Series Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger a reading.

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ USB Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Six foot standard cable length. All of our SmartCable™ USB Keyboard gage interfaces can be produced to custom lengths upon request.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. By default, Advanced Systems & Designs sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo Electronic Balance. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Mettler Balance are set to the same values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo AM/PM/SM balance operating instructions for more information on setting external communication.
