Mettler Toledo AE Series Balance SmartCable™ USB with Keyboard Output

This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface, connects the Mettler Toledo AE Series Balance to a computer. Connects the Mettler Toledo AE Series Balance to the SmartCable™ Keyboard using a 25-pin male cable connector. Please note the Mettler Toledo Balance must have the optional 012 Bi-Directional Data Interface installed in order for this SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface to work. Only the Mettler Toledo 012 data interface is able to receive the data request from the SmartCable™ USB Keyboard, single gage interface.
The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable™ to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the Mettler Toledo AE Series Balance readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.

Pressing the push button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the ASDQMS SmartCable™. The Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. Six foot standard cable length with special lengths available upon request.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs typically sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo AE Series Balance. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Mettler Toledo AE Series Balance are set to the same values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo AE Series Balance user manual and 012 data interface for more information on external communication.
