The Advanced Systems and Designs (ASDQMS) gage interface with keyboard output sends data directly to Microsoft Excel, Explorer-based SPC programs, or other spreadsheet programs without using complicated software wedges. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Mahr Millimar C1208 / C1216 Display to a computer. Connects to the Mahr Millimar RS-232C interface output using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Using this SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface to link to the RS232C interface connector on the Mahr Millimar Display will allow the Mahr Millimar C1208 / C1216 to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required! The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Mahr readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ gage interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.

A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Mahr Millimar C1208 / C1216 Display.
