Mahr Dimensionair EAG-3 Keyboard Gage Interface
Send data to directly to Excel or other spreadsheet programs
This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Mahr Digital Dimensionair EAG-3 bench mounted air gaging system to a computer. Connects directly to the gage using a high quality E1 6 pin connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable™ to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the Mahr Digital Dimensionair EAG-3 readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Depressing the push button on the SmartCable™ Keyboard

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing an optional footswitch connected to the Mahr Dimensionair
This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface. Refer to your Mahr Digital Dimensionair EAG-3 air gaging system user manual for how to set the proper output format.
