This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Instek GOM Series Milli-Ohm Meter to a computer to send data to Excel or other spreadsheet programs. Connects the Instek Milli-Ohm Meter to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Instek Milli-Ohm Meter Display to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application (like Excel) or internet explorer based SPC program - no complicated software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Instek Milli-Ohm Meter Display readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect SPC data into a Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.

A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default communication settings on the Instek GOM Series Milli-Ohm Meter. Make sure both the SmartCable and Instek Milli-Ohm Meter are set to the same values. Refer to the Instek GOM Series Milli-Ohm Meter user manual for more information on the Handler Interface communication.
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable Keyboard. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Six foot standard cable length. All of our SmartCable Keyboard gage interfaces are available in special lengths upon request.
