This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single-gage interface connects the Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator to a computer. Connects the Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin male cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required.
The ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC software programs, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing the print button on the Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator
Simple to set-up, simple to use!
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. This Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator are set to the same values. Refer to the Inscale LP7510 Weighing Indicator user manual for more information on external communication.
Six foot standard cable length. Special lengths are always available upon request.
