Product Description
Mahr Federal Millitron 832 Probe Style Electronic Amplifier Digimatic FlashCable® Interface
Send data to our GageMux® gage interface or other Digimatic input devices
This FlashCable® gage interface is engineered to convert the output on the Mahr Federal Millitron 832 Electronic Amplifier to a Digimatic format. The 9-pin female connector on this Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® connects directly to the male connector on the Millitron 832 Probe Style Electronic Amplifier.
This FlashCable® gage interface is designed to work with our GageMux® gage interface or other similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. The FlashCable® does not obtain any power from the Mahr Federal Millitron 832. When properly connected to our GageMux® interface, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable® gage interface. On devices other than the GageMux®, pin 9 of the input port connector must provide a 5vDC power to the FlashCable®. Contact us for more information on how to confirm this requirement.
When the FlashCable® gage interface is powered by the GageMux® the LED on the FlashCable® turns solid GREEN. The LED briefly flashes RED when the data is being sent or a data request is triggered.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
-
Using the send data button on the Mahr Federal 832 Electronic Amplifier
-
Using a Footswitch connected to our GageMux® USB or equivalent triggering methods
-
Using our 300-1S in-line handswitch
-
Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable® (not included)
-
Sending a read command from the external computer to the Millitron 832 Electronic Amplifier
A detailed operation manual is included with this FlashCable® gage interface. As a default setting, Advanced Systems & Designs sets the FlashCable® gage interface to the default RS232 communication settings on the 832 Electronic Amplifier. The Mahr Federal 832 Electronic Amplifier and FlashCable® gage interface must be set to the same communication values. Refer to the Mahr Federal 832 Electronic Amplifier operating manual for more information on how to set-up external communication.
