The Edmunds Accu-Touch E7200 Series Amplifier is designed to be used with the Edmunds LVDT Gage Probes. This Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Edmunds Accu-Touch Amplifier to a computer. The Edmunds Accu-Touch Amplifier is linked to the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard using a 9-pin male connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Plug and play! Connecting the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will permit the Edmunds Accu-Touch Amplifier to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface will make the Edmunds Accu-Touch Amplifier readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Explorer based SPC program, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and trigger a reading.
Readings can be triggered by the following:

Pressing the data offload button on the Edmunds Accu-Touch Amplifier

Pressing the button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
Simple to use:
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. This ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to send data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Six foot standard cable length. All of our SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interfaces are available in custom lengths. Our SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interfaces have a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard. Advanced Systems & Designs sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard at the factory to the default settings on the Edmunds E7200 Series Accu-Touch Amplifier. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Edmunds Amplifier are set to the same values in order for proper communication to occur. Refer to the Edmunds Accu-Touch Amplifier instruction manual for more information on data offload communication with peripheral devices.
