FlashCable® Gage Interface for Starrett 795 or 796 Micrometer Gage
Sends data to our GageMux® gage interface
This FlashCable® is engineered to change the output on the Starrett 795 / 796 Digital Gage to an output in a Mitutoyo Digimatic format. This 795SCM FlashCable® is designed to work with our GageMux® or other data acquisition systems that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. The FlashCable® does not obtain any power from the gage. When connected to the GageMux®, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable®. If using devices, other than the GageMux®, make sure pin 9 of the 10-pin connector provides a 5VDC supply to the FlashCable® gage interface.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:

Using the data send button on the gage cable

Using our 300-1S in-line handswitch

Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable® (not included)

Using the Footswitch on the GageMux® USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices

Sending a gage read command from the computer to the gage
