Product Description
Mettler Toledo XPE Model Balance Digimatic Interface Cable
Send data to our GageMux® gage interface or other Digimatic input devices
The Mettler Toledo XPE Model Excellence Analytical Balance offers static elimination technology and a “smart” weighing pan to give the user precise weighing results in unstable environments. This FlashCable® gage interface is engineered to change the output on the Mettler Toledo XPE Model Excellence Analytical Balance to an output in a Digimatic format. The 9-pin male connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® interface connects directly to the 9-Pin female connector on the Mettler Toledo XPE Analytic Balance.
Designed to work with our GageMux® universal gage interface or other similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. This FlashCable® gage interface does not obtain any power from the gage. When connected to the GageMux®, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable® gage interface. If using devices, other than the GageMux®, make sure pin 9 on the connector provides 5vDC power to the FlashCable®.
When the FlashCable® gage interface is connected to the GageMux®, the LED on the FlashCable® turns GREEN which indicates that the FlashCable® interface is connected properly. The LED turns RED when the data is being sent or a data request is triggered.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
-
Using the PRINT data button on the Mettler Toledo XPE Model Excellence Analytical Balance
-
Using an auxiliary footswitch connected to the Mettler Toledo Balance - see balance operating instructions
-
Using our 300-1S in-line handswitch
-
Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable® (not included)
-
Using the Footswitch on the GageMux® USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices)
-
Sending a gage read command from the computer to the balance
A detailed operation manual is included with this FlashCable® gage interface. At the factory, Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the FlashCable® to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo XPE Analytical Balance. Make sure both the Mettler Toledo XPE Model Excellence Analytical Balance and FlashCable® gage interface are set to the same values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo XPE Model Excellence Analytical Balance operating instructions for more information on external communication.
