Mettler Toledo BBA | BBK Series Compact Scale Digimatic FlashCable® Interface Cable
Send data to our GageMux® gage interface or other Digimatic input devices
The Mettler Toledo BBA Series stainless-steel scale is designed for applications in dry and short time wet industrial environments. It can communicate with our FlashCable® gage interface cable using a built-in RS232 interface. This FlashCable® gage interface is designed to change the output on the Mettler Toledo BBA Series Compact Scale to a Digimatic output format. The 9-pin male connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® connects to the female connector on the Mettler Toledo BBA Compact Scale.
This interface cable is designed to work with our GageMux® multi-input gage interface or other devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. When properly connected to the GageMux®, pin 9 of the 10-pin input port provides the power to the FlashCable® gage interface. If using Digimatic input devices other than our GageMux®, pin 9 on the input port must provide a 5v DC power to the FlashCable® gage interface.
When the FlashCable® is properly connected to the Digimatic device, the LED on the FlashCable® turns solid GREEN. The LED will flash RED when the data request is transmitted.
The data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:

Using the print button on the Mettler Toledo BBA Series Compact Scale

Using our Footswitch accessory on the GageMux® USB or equivalent triggering method

Using a footswitch connected to the FlashCable® gage interface (not included)

Sending a gage read command from the computer to the gage
An operation manual is included with this FlashCable® gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally configures the FlashCable® gage interface to the default settings on the Mettler Toledo BBA Series Compact Scale. The Mettler Toledo BBA Compact Scale and the FlashCable® gage interface must be set to the same communication values. Refer to the Mettler Toledo BBA user manual for more information on external communication with peripheral devices.
