Product Description
Acculab AL-Series Balance Digimatic FlashCable® Interface Cable
Send data to our GageMux® gage interface or other Digimatic input devices
This ASDQMS FlashCable® gage interface is engineered to change the output on the Acculab AL-Series Analytical Balance to an output in a Mitutoyo Digimatic format. The female connector on the Advanced Systems & Designs FlashCable® gage interface connects directly to the 9-pin male RS-232-C data interface serial port connector on the Acculab Balance.
This Advanced Systems and Designs FlashCable® interface is designed to work with our GageMux® gage interface or other similar devices that recognize the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal. The FlashCable® receives power from our GageMux® gage interface or other similar Digimatic input devices. If you are using devices other than our GageMux® multiple input gage interface, make sure pin 9 of the 10-pin input connector provides a 5 volt DC supply to the FlashCable® interface cable. Please contact us for more information on how to perform a simple test for this requirement.
The LED on the FlashCable® will turn GREEN when properly connected to our GageMux® gage interface or other similar Digimatic input devices. The LED turns RED when the data is triggered or a data request is triggered.
Six-foot standard cable length. Special lengths readily available. Please contact us for more information.
The real-time data transfer can be triggered using any of the following methods:
-
Pressing the data send key on the Acculab AL-Series Analytical Balance
-
Using the Footswitch port on the GageMux® USB (or equivalent triggering method on similar devices)
-
Using a Footswitch on the FlashCable® (not included)
-
Using our 300-1S in-line handswitch
-
Sending the proper device read command from the host computer
This ASDQMS FlashCable® gage interface comes with a detailed operation manual. We normally set the FlashCable® gage interface to the default settings on the Acculab AL-Series Analytical Balance. Make sure the Acculab AL-Series Analytical Balance is set to the default values or the values shown in the FlashCable® gage interface operating manual. Refer to the Acculab AL-Series Analytical Balance operation manual for more information on how to establish RS232 external communication with peripheral devices. Lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects
