The Multi-Field Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Olympus Magna-Mike 8600 portable thickness gage to a computer. The Olympus Magna-Mike 8600 attaches to the SmartCable™ Keyboard using a 9-pin male cable connector.There are no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.

The SmartCable™ keyboard is simple to install and simple to use.

This multi-field SmartCable™ USB Keyboard will send a combination of MIN, MAX, LIVE or DIFF readings from the Olympus Magna-Mike 8600 display to Excel or any data collection software. There is no software wedge required. The user can simply set the output to send up to three outputs by using the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ USB Keyboard.

The SmartCable Keyboard will make the Olympus Magna-Mike 8600 portable thickness gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard which eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear. Readings can be triggered from the Olympus Magna-Mike 8600 by pressing the push button on the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface, depressing a connected footswitch, or pressing the send button on the Olympus Magna-Mike 8600 portable thickness gage.
