ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard with Multiple Field Output for Heidenhain Quadra-Chek or Metronics QC200

Advanced Systems & Designs has a SmartCable single-gage interface, that connects a Heidenhain Quadra-Chek or Metronics QC200 digital readout to a computer and provides multiple fields of output. This SmartCable attaches to the digital readout using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The user is able to output up to 5 fields in Excel with one push of a button. Now you can record the output of X, Y, Z, Q, & F axis dimensions with ease.

The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the SmartCable to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application - no software wedge required. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the digital readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear. This SmartCable also works with Windows Explorer based SPC software programs.

This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to send data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, or multiple TABs (for up to five fields) followed by a CR. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws. LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable.

Readings can be triggered from the digital readout by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the SmartCable Keyboard
Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
Pressing the send button on the device using the send/print key or user defined soft keys

Now you can easily record all dimensions from your Heidenhain or Metronics Quadra-Chek right into Excel and eliminate manual data entry errors. A detailed operation manual is included with each SmartCable Keyboard. Six foot overall cable length - special lengths available upon request.
