This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Adam Equipment GK / GBK / GFK Series Scale to a computer. Connects the Adam Equipment Scale to the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
The Adam Equipment GK / GBK / GFK Series Scale can be identified as a keyboard device that can communicate data to any application as keystrokes by connecting it to the ASDQMS SmartCable Keyboard, which has a built-in keyboard wedge. No software wedge is needed. The digital readings from the Adam Equipment Scale with GK Indicator will seem as though they were typed in using a conventional keyboard thanks to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the push button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing the PRINT button on the Adam Equipment GK / GBK / GFK Series Scale
Simple to set-up, simple to use!
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable™ Keyboard to the default settings on the Adam Equipment GK / GBK / GFK Series Scale. Make sure both the SmartCable™ and Adam Equipment Scale are set to the same values. Refer to the Adam Equipment GK / GBK / GFK Series Scale operations manual for more information on RS232 communication.
Six foot standard cable length. Special lengths are readily available upon request. We make SPC data collection easy.
