This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the Alicat Scientific M-Series Flow Meter to a computer and sends real-time data to Excel or other spreadsheet programs. Connects the Alicat Scientific M-Series Flow Meter to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 8-pin DIN style cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable™ Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
Connecting the SmartCable™ Keyboard with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the Alicat Scientific M-Series Flow Meter to be identified as a keyboard device that can send real-time data to any Microsoft Windows application (like Excel) or Explorer based SPC program - no messy software wedge required. The SmartCable™ Keyboard will make the Alicat Scientific M-Series Precision Gas Flow Meter readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect SPC data into a Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.

A detailed operation manual is included with this SmartCable™ Keyboard gage interface. Advanced Systems & Designs normally sets the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings on the Alicat Scientific M-Series Flow Meter. Make sure both the SmartCable gage interface and Alicat Scientific M-Series Flow Meter are set to the same values. Refer to the Alicat Scientific M-Series Flow Meter operating manual for more information on external communication.

LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable™ Keyboard. This SmartCable™ Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable™ Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
Six foot standard cable length. Special lengths are readily available upon request.
