Accurate Technology ProScale | Mitutoyo SJ-201 SmartCable™ USB Interface
Sends data to SPC data collection programs
The Accurate Technology (ATI) ProScale or Mitutoyo SJ-201 SurfTest is connected to the Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ USB gage interface using the standard gage connector. This ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB gage interface connects the Accurate Technology ProScale or Mitutoyo SurfTest to the USB port on the computer. Your Accurate Technology device will be able to send inspection data as a COM port (or virtual Com Port) to communication and terminal emulation programs (such as HyperTerminal) or any SPC data collection software program using this Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable™ USB.
NOTE: Without using of a separate software wedge, this ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB gage interface will NOT send data directly to a spreadsheet program such as Excel. If you want to send data directly to Excel, please use our SmartCable™ Keyboard 600-110-KB-USB gage interface.
The output of the SmartCable™ USB gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 COM port signal. The USB connection provides power to the ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB gage interface. The Accurate Technology ProScale / Mitutoyo SurfTest cannot obtain power from the SmartCable™ USB---the gage requires a separate power supply (batteries) of its own.
Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

Pressing the button on the ASDQMS SmartCable™ USB gage interface.

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

Pressing a data send button on the gage, if it has one

Sending a gage read command from the external computer to the SmartCable™ USB gage interface
This SmartCable™ USB gage interface is capable of sending data in several modes: read only, continuous, continuous with delay, disable pushbutton, and others. A detailed operation manual is included with this Advanced Systems and Designs SmartCable™ USB gage interface.
Lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Standard six foot cable length. All of our SmartCable™ USB gage interfaces are also available in custom lengths upon request.
