SmartCable Keyboard for A&D Apollo IP65 GX or GF Series Balance

This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable single gage interface, connects the A&D GX or GF IP65 Balance to a computer. Connects the A&D Balance to the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface using a 9-pin female cable connector---no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.
When you connect the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface with its built-in keyboard wedge to the computer, your device will be recognized as a keyboard. This enables the A&D Balance to send data to any Microsoft Windows application, such as Excel, or any SPC program as numeric keystrokes, without needing a software wedge. The SmartCable Keyboard gage interface will transmit the A & D Balance readings as if they were entered using a standard keyboard, reducing data collection errors. To collect SPC data in Microsoft Excel or other applications, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear and transmit a reading.
Readings can be triggered by the following:

Pressing the send or enter button on the A&D GX GF Balance, if it has one

Pressing the button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface

Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
The SmartCable Keyboard comes with a detailed operation manual. At the factory, Advanced Systems and Designs typically configures the SmartCable Keyboard to the default settings of the A&D GX GF Balance. Ensure both the SmartCable and A&D Balance are set to the same values. For more information on external communication, refer to the A&D Apollo IP65 GX GF Balance instruction manual.
LED Indicator lights aid the user with the operation of the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface. This SmartCable Keyboard is easily configured to output data in different output modes on your spreadsheet, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, or right. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
